SUICIDAL HORSES er endurance-gjörningur þar sem Lísandra hreyfir sig og dansar viðstöðulaust í 8 klukkutíma hvern dag á afmörkuðu sviði.
Í verkinu rannsakar Lísandra þolmörk líkamans, dýrslegar hreyfingar og manneskjuna sem dýr.
Á sviðinu veltir hún fyrir sér hvort dýr fái þráhyggju á sama hátt og manneskjur.

Lísandra Týra Jóns (b. 2000, Iceland), sem fer líka undir nafninu L T J, hefur aðallega verið að vinna á milli dans og gjörningalistar, video og ljósmyndun. Hún er meðal stofnenda á dans kollektívinu DISTANT CASUALS sem var stofnað á útskriftar ári hennar 2023 við skólann Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance.

SUICIDAL HORSES is an endurance performance in which Lísandra moves or dances continuously for 8 hours each day on a defined stage.
In the work, Lísandra explore the limits of the body, animalistic movements, and the human being as an animal.
On stage, she reflects on whether animals can develop obsession in the same way as humans.

Could a horse run itself to death out of love?
Lísandra Týra Jóns (b. 2000, Iceland), who also goes by the name L T J, has mainly been working at the intersection of dance and performance art, video and photography. She co-founded the dance collective DISTANT CASUALS during her graduation year at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in 2023.

​Lísandra deals with a certain fascination of the flesh, both of the human and non-human and explores the resonance of duration and the body at its limits.
